If you all don't mind, I'm going to revisit this old post of mine and add a new bit of info....straight (no pun intended) from the horses mouth (sorry Melissa, didn't mean to imply....).
Our state governor is dividing his valuable time in our service with also running for the presidency image. He was questioned by a small panel for some event or other....one of the interviewers was Melissa Etheridge, the singer who is also openly lesbian (can't they find a better word?). She asked him if he thought being gay was a choice or the way you were born. He said it was a choice. She said "let me rephrase the question....are you saying that, say somewhere around 7th grade a kid says, gee, I think I'm going to be gay?"
I have never known a homosexual person to say it was a choice. I have often heard the lament that it is a very hard thing to deal with, filled with heartbreak and dispair. When I saw this interview newsclip on the ABC evening news, I thought of this post and wanted to include this info. Sky
