Marge is right, I want to look forward not backward. I think I've laid out a pretty solid argument, so perhaps the managers can let me know what some issues I haven't covered might be :)

Have to say I'm with Heather. Not a bloomin clue! I know MSN is sometimes a pain and can go 'poof' at the drop of a hat. But to be honest, that could be my computer for all I know, or my broadband, or my phone line. I wouldn't know which was causing the problem.
As an idiot I would be happy to go with whatever the managers decide. I am sure they will take all points and consider them carefully, before making any decision. Just don't forget to move me with you when you go. I would hate to become homeless!

OMGosh....I figured it alllll out. It's a ploy to get rid of me. I KNEW it!!! You're gonna make me think the managers are against the move, then, under the cover of night, disappear into cyber world forever leaving me alone here. How could I have missed this??? It's all so clear now, you never thought I'd figure it out, but now I have. Oh, I'll be watching your every word, every post, I'll watch it ALL to be sure you can't trick me in any way!!!
HAHAHA!!!! I've foiled you again, you tricky people!!!!!

And yes, I'm totally being silly (at least that's what I'm trying to make you think), although I did have conversations like this often with the ex.

one simple question...
how do you propose going about getting members' permission to move their posts and photos and everything else to the new site?
and before you argue that it's understood that once they post it becomes somewhat "public property" i am taking the position that what i posted here i fully intended to stay here, on msn communities.....and sure, anyone could copy anything i post and stick it wherever they want to, i do realize that...but that would be without my consent....
answer that question first and then i'll proceed with others i have, thanks

The answer to that question is simple. Its called changing point of presence and is common with any move of a website from one server to another. ...........................The fact remains that it is a public forum and to move point of presence in no way violates any type of copyright, this was confirmed by the US Copyright Office. ......................Technically the content of this site, to include that in the message boards, is indeed owned by the site.............................The move would not be the same as copying and pasting to some other site. All the content would still be on DCS it would simply be a different point of presence.
