Sometimes feelings can be hard to put into words in a hard and clear manner and its understandable. Most often what someone is feeling and/or going through does come out in the bulk of their writing, and sometimes when we write things can become jumbled up too but that's ok sometimes we just need to ramble.
Its kind of like writing the way a dream plays out. Sometimes dreams have a really clear structure and sometimes they are just a jumbled up mess of events that do not seem to make any sense, but either way they both have meaning.
This is why writing can be a good outlet. However there are many other great outlets as well.
As someone has already said though writing in a journal is a great way to be able to see the progress you do make, however its ok to look over your past, not to letting it consume you or to beat yourself up over it, but to learn and grow and over time you will grow and progress.
All any of us can ever do when situations come up is to hang in there, deal with the things that come, and let the healing come as well. Its not always easy but what I have found over my time here is that most people are almost always very resilient and make it through.
Hang in there.
