Hi Jacky,

I'm so sorry you had to find our group... but it is a great place to come for help. I have been MIA for a while... but wanted to reply to you as well. I hope things are looking up...
Don't let your fear of what he might (or might not) do with your Grandson take control of you... he can not do that any more than any parent can just come take a child from the other. It does happen, but don't fear it, you make sure you get what you and your Grandson need to survive. My husband left (for the second time) in April and since I have had to go the county to request assistance, one of the hardest things I've ever had to do... but well worth it, once you get in to the system (for anything) it can make your life much easier. It's easier to focus on what you and your GS need, if you don't have to worry where your food money is coming from. Since you qualify for food stamps, you might qualify for low income housing... they may tell you there is a long wait, but get on the list, many times that wait list goes down fast, as people move or no longer qualify. I wish you all the best and as Misfit has said, we may be a little slow on the reply sometimes... we are here and will help you anytime we can.
