As some of you know every year beginning the last two weeks of June and through July 4th I help run a fireworks tent. Well I am back and rested and gearing up
for normal work and the projects ahead.
Some of you may not know yet but DCS is one of those projects. I and the other managers have been discussing and planning how to take DCS forward into the future.
There have been some incidents past that have contributed to the slow down at DCS but also one other contributing factor is the type of forum format that we were thrust into when MSN Groups closed their doors.
After much discussion by managers we have come to the conclusion that the best format for DCS and one in which it will best thrive in is a format similar to what we had with MSN Groups, basically speaking a fully functional and interactive website with message boards and chat forums.
Our aim is to give this very format back to DCS and in the months ahead we will be working diligently to do so and we have the means to make it so.
The plan is to merge a bit of the old with a bit of the new. That is to say that we are planning to build or will be building rather, a fully functional and interactive website with message boards and chat forums, as well as the ability for members once againt o create their own photo albums, divorce related articles, event and birthday calendars, and in time some inspirational and informational videos, etc........
Our hope is to bring DCS back to what it once was and more and give DCS a permanant home and as well the fully functional and interactive website that its members deserve. We will be working hard on this in the coming months and we all hope that you, the members, will enjoy the results and find them to be what you need to help you through your journey and as always suggestions are always welcome and will be incorporated if at all feasibly possible.
In the mean time DCS will still be here at Yuku and will continue to operate as it has, to be a place where people can find help and caring in the midst of the turmultuous times that divorce can bring.
Its time to move past previous events and get back to doing what we always did and that is to help each other on the journey leading to, going through, and moving past divorce and other life issues that surround it.
That said, sales at the fireworks stand were good this year given the price hikes due to the problems in China and of course the sluggish economy but we almost hit last years sales.
I hope everyone had an enjoyable 4th and I hope that you will join with me and all of managment in looking forward with anticipation to new site. As well I personally hope to see participation pick up in the mean time. Lets move past what happened and move forward into a new future for DCS because there are so many people out there hurting and in need of love, caring, support and understanding.
